This role focuses on structural work for rotary-wing aircraft, supporting programs such as the Boeing Apache, SH-60, CH-47, and UH-60. You will perform the first half of aircraft reset activities, including breaking down the aircraft and depopulating parts and components, with an emphasis on structural assembly, modification, and repair. This is a hands-on position in a controlled, air-conditioned environment, working on complex aviation platforms that support government and commercial customers.

Responsibilities

  • Execute structural assembly and installation tasks on aircraft, following engineering drawings, technical data, and work instructions.
  • Carry out aircraft modification and repair work, focusing on structural components and sheet metal, to meet program and safety requirements.
  • Use riveting and other sheet metal techniques to fabricate, repair, and install structural parts and assemblies.
  • Conduct hands-on structural tests on the first day to demonstrate proficiency in aircraft structures work.
  • Work on multiple aircraft lines, including UH-60, AH-64, and CH-47, as assigned, performing consistent, high-quality structural work.
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable aviation standards, safety procedures, and quality requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks, meet production schedules, and support program timelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area within the air-conditioned facility, adhering to all workplace and safety guidelines.
  • Follow shift schedules and be available for assigned hours to support ongoing aircraft reset and modification activities.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 4+ years of aircraft experience, with a focus on structural modification or repair.
  • Proficiency in aircraft structural assembly and installation.
  • Strong experience with riveting and aircraft sheet metal work.
  • Hands-on experience with aircraft modification and structural repair on any aircraft type.
  • Ability to read and follow technical data, work instructions, and engineering documentation related to aircraft structures.
  • Capability to successfully perform a hands-on structures test on the first day of work.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality in an aviation environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with military rotary-wing aircraft is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in structures, airframe work, and installation on rotary-wing platforms such as UH-60, AH-64, SH-60, or CH-47.
  • No personal tools are required; tools are provided in the facility.
  • Comfort working on multiple aircraft lines and adapting to different program requirements.
  • Per diem may be available for work on the CH-47 line, subject to assignment.

Why Work Here?

This opportunity is with a well-established small business that has built a strong reputation for delivering innovative, efficient, and high-quality solutions to a wide range of government and commercial customers, including DHS, DOS, and the Department of Defense. Since its founding in 1988, the organization has expanded operations across multiple locations and continues to support aviation and ground systems worldwide, from prototype and fabrication through complex modification and integration. You will join a team that values best-value performance, technical excellence, and long-term customer relationships, offering meaningful work on impactful programs in a professional, supportive environment.

Work Environment

Work takes place in an air-conditioned facility designed to support complex aviation structural work. The standard schedule is a first shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with the expectation that you are available during these hours. The environment is structured, safety-focused, and equipped with the necessary tools and resources, so no personal tools are required. Work is organized by aircraft line (such as UH-60, AH-64, and CH-47), and may include eligibility for per diem on certain lines. The facility supports detailed structural tasks, modifications, and integrations on aviation platforms, providing a comfortable and controlled setting for precision work.
